Dear Members of the Board of Trustees, I am writing to urge the Board of Trustees to reject the proposed Meijer development on 5 Mile Road. The master plan for the property emphasizes the creation of high-tech, high-paying jobs, which stands in stark contrast to the low-wage employment opportunities associated with the Meijer store. Furthermore, the potential increase in traffic and crime resulting from this development is a cause for serious concern.  Not to mention that if approved, Plymouth Township taxpayers will have to foot the $15 million bill to clean up the property. Recent events have raised questions about the transparency and integrity of the decision-making process. Supervisor Heise's involvement in this matter has been the subject of controversy, with allegations of bypassing the Planning Commission's rejection of the Meijer proposal. The community's best interests lie in upholding the intended vision for the area and prioritizing the creation of quality jobs. I strongly encourage the Board of Trustees to carefully consider the long-term implications of this development and to stand against any backroom deals that do not align with the established master plan.
